We’ve already dropped a nameless PC launch day patch addressing critical issues which kept some people from launching the game on certain PC configurations and in certain countries, in addition to a couple of other small fixes. We’ll try to reflect the updates’ focus in the choice of dino. We have decided to name our substantial updates after dinosaurs in honor of the Amazon beasts. This dev diary is all about looking toward the time directly following launch. This launch is just the beginning and we aim to support the game for a long time both with free updates and premium expansions. It’s been a herculean effort both for Triumph and the team at Paradox Stockholm. Working for four years on a project means there is a lot at stake. First, we must say that we are very thankful for the great reception the game has gotten on release. Because Relays are on a separate location they can also be more easily taken out.Hi there, and welcome to the first Planetfall development diary after release! With these journals we plan on keeping you informed on the things we are working on as we continue to improve the game. These rules also mean that armies can’t instantly transport to the center of a colony (as the Wizards Towers in AoW:Shadow Magic). A Relay can only facilitate a single army transportation per player per turn, thus prevent multi-stack armies from swarming through before an enemy can respond. The arrival point is chosen based on which available hex position has the lowest movement cost.Īn army moving through an Orbital Relay consumes all remaining movement points when it appears on the other side. Player’s armies can also path through an Orbital Relay in the same manner as through a teleporter, by ordering an army to move to a position that another Orbital Relay is closer to. Players can manually select a destination via a list box. Orbital Relays can only be used by units belonging to the Orbital Relay owner (or allies if the players share an ‘Open Relay Agreement’). Once built the Orbital Relay and its adjacent hexes serve as ‘teleporters’ to all other Orbital Relays (and their adjacent hexes).
